Currently I have iTunes and it won't burn sound alterations. It lets me adjust eq and volume for playback, but it won't save these changes when I burn a CD. So I need a program that will. I have a Macintosh, OSX 10.3.9. I prefer something inexpensive: shareware/ freeware.

It lists available programs (commercial, shareware and freeware), and has reviews and links. This way you can find what's available and select the one that seems best suited to your needs.

Try mp3 rocket(even if you have an ipod) or try windowsmedia player
