I need tips on how to accentuate my natural waves (shampoos to use, haircut, styling, etc.) But my hair is really thin and is weighed down easily, so it falls flat and the waves never last. Also, I like to part my hair on the side, but that makes my layers uneven so I have too much layering on one side and not enough on the other (causing one side to have too much body and the other side is limp). Should I part it in the middle or what? I have tried everything- curl sprays, curl cream, curl shampoo, curling irons. I also want it to last and keep my hair from getting greasy and flat. I only shop at Wal Mart for hair stuff and don't like to spend a bunch of money, so I need something fairly cheap. Please help.

I have very similar hair and I don't use gels or creams because those weigh it down way too much. Here's what I use and I get it all from Wal-Mart :-):

Mark Anthony: Shampoo and conditioner for curly hair- these are about $5 a bottle. You should be able to find them with all the regular shampoos and stuff and they're in big yellow bottles.

Biosilk Hair Therapy: This is kind-of expensive, but it lasts for ever. Use a VERY VERY small amount and smooth it all over your hair while it's still wet. If you use too much of these, you're hair's going to be weighed down and look greesy.

Thermasilk Mousse for Curly Hair: Also at Walmart. You can really use any mousse, because that's the best stuff that won't weight it down. Just find any cheap mousse that's specific for curly hair.

And if you're having problems with the curls coming out, try to find a curly-hair specific hair-spray. I have a kind-of expensive one that I use sometimes that I got from the salon in Walmart. It actually makes your hair curlier if you use it. Hope that helps

Get it cut in long layers for added volume. The part can be uneven - let it fall where it wants. Use volumizing mousse, particularly on the roots, and blow dry it upside down with a large diffuser attachment. You can get Suave mousse for $2 or $3, and the diffuser is about $10. While still hanging your head upside down, hit it with hairspray to maintain the volume, and don't flip your head back over until the hairspray has a chance to set.

I actually have a matching hair concern, and in case you like your hair curly, that's what you do: you do no longer could desire to spend any money, or use any hair care products. when you get out of the bathe, enable your hair midway dry out, then positioned your hair in braids. in case you sleep in them, your hair will stay curly for 2 days, yet once you go away it in for 3 hours (or until eventually hair is dry), you will get an analogous result, it basically wont final as long. wish i could desire to help!!

you need to spend a little extra and go to a salon, I believe there is one in every Walmart, they are reasonable and you really need a professional opinion.. Just think of all the money you are throwing away on product that doesn't work
