I collect Southern Living Cookbooks because their recipes are down home good eatin' and a homey atmosphere/ fancy gatherings is created for the family by eating this way. My favorite cookbook is from them called, "Southern Living One Dish Meals". Everything in there is soooo good. I like to make anything from "cooking all day just to end up combining it all into one dish" to "throwing something together", simple or light, because I am too tired to cook or not very hungry. Pretty books, too. I like pretty pics, covers, etc. I do not like Internet recipe sights.

The Internet. LOL Because you can find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!
That said I do have quite a collection of cookbooks, lots from different churches which always have fantastic recipes. The one traditional cookbook I probably refer to most is an old Betty Crocker, bought it about 20 years ago. But seriously with the internet Cookbooks are sort of becoming obsolete. I punch up recipes on my laptop and cook from that.

The Edmond's Cookbook.

It is full of traditional meals and has plenty of how to do things, ideal for beginners, students widowers and other singles who suddenly have to learn to cook.
