First, pay attention to details such as spelling. Casual, in-grained slovenliness gives the impression of someone that no rational person would want as a physician. Practice presenting a sharp, focused, brilliant, detail-obsessive persona at all times. You will spend the next four years competing, and the tiny errors are the ones that will trip you up. Become paranoid about being judged as fit for medical school at all times.

Second, join pre-med clubs. Take some classes that show an interest outside medicine, but that indicate you would be a good doctor such as public speaking or ethics. As to which courses to take, your faculty advisor will suggest the best ones.

Third, call your family physican and ask for advice about getting into medicine. If you develop a good relationship with your doctor, ask if you can shadow him/her for one or two mornings, just to see what a doctor does.

Fourth, volunteer at a hospital or clinic. When you apply as a volunteer, let them know you are hoping to find a job that will give you experience towards a future medical career.

Good luck.
