my speakers?

my speakers dont work,yet the volume is up and its conected up. my daughter is great at dealing with computers but even she cant figure it out can someone help me please.

Double click on the speaker icon on the lower right side of the screen. It will bring up a control panel with many volume controls. One or more of those will be low (down), so just raise them up until you get it loud enough (do the far left, Play Control, last).

Are these speakers you are trying to play from your computer?
