I need to find both what a nap is and what twill fabric is. Please help!

Twill fabric is similar to the fabric we use for slacks. Sometimes it's called suiting. It doesn't have a nap.

Nap on fabric is which direction the right way is to "pet" it. It's very apparent on velvet or velveteen. You stroke it one way, it's one color, you stroke it the other way, it's harder to stroke and darker. When you sew, you always want to make sure that it's lighter when you stroke the fabric down.
