Increase your fiber intake. That's what I did. I'm now IBS free. List of foods to eat:

Apples(work great) especially Granny Smith apples.
Pears
Grapes
Broccoli
Green Peas
Leafy green vegatables: spinach, collard greens
Cereals that are high in fiber: Raisin Bran, Multi Bran Chex.
Drink Lactose Free milk
Drink Decaffeinated Green Tea (works
wonders)
Avoid beverages with caffeine
Brown Rice
Beans(make sure you buy some Beano, so that you won't get gassy though)

At first you might feel worse, but in about two weeks, you will feel alot better. All you have to do is change your diet. Oh, do things that will relieve stress, that makes IBS worse. Also take a laxative. Hope you are feeling better soon!!! E-mail me and let me know how you make out,

You want to see your doctor for a motility agent like metoclopramide or domperidone. They just basically move things along more normally. You don't want to move things along slower, just normally. There are many effective prescription medications for this condition. Make an appt with your doctor and ask them about these medications. Feel better.
