Neither Hinduism nor Islam allows such marriage. Someone has to convert to other's religion. Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition and way of life in Hindustan (India). None can convert to Hinduism. A Hindu is born to Hindu parents in Hindustan (India) and practices Hinduism. Islam strictly bars & prohibits pre/extra marital (unwed) sexual relations, prescribing severe punishments.
If married under Special Marriage Act 1954, their children also have to marry the same way, neither Muslim nor Hindu will marry them. The couple will be cut of from their parents too. A wise and considered decision will avoid future troubles.

Let the boy first get converted to Islam. He will be welcomed with open arms by the girl's family.
After some years when things settle down and the boy has proved his bonafides, let both of them get converted to Arya Samajis.
Now both will be accepted by the boy's parents.
It is a win,win situation all the way with only a matter of time, intervening.
After all true love is won only by sacrifices and I don't see why both should not agree.

If both of them are legally of marriageable age then they can get married in a court. Running away will not solve the problem. But before taking any decision both of them should realise that they will face many problems even after marriage because of the cultural differences and if they are prepared to stand by each other, only then they should get married.

They love each other, right. Let them marry. It would have been better if parents were informed and they have had agreed. But if things don't work out that way, then better they get married under police protection. Hope the parents would understand later and accept them as married couple...

:-)

Sacrifycing love for whom? So called parents who are beast enough to kill her and the person dearest to her?

They should marry under police protection and teach the fanatics a lesson that the offsprings are not a piece of property or pet animal.

you mention only the love between them you never mentioned the financial status of your friend(he), if he is in a good position strong enough in love and bold to face the future, the girl can go with him, no wrong in that, her parents will get compromised once if they know their daughter is happy....
I pray to God for both families to accept your friends love.....
wishing all the best for their future

This is one of the oldest stories in the world and always makes for a good read. Of course the genre is always tragedy. Everyone is killed and there are mountains and rivers named for the slain lovers.

Very tragic situation sure to end in blood shed.

There are a million guys out there, yet she only has one life. No one is irreplaceable. I think I'd just accept that long after a man will leave you...mama won't, and I'd stay home.
