confused about what?

Atheist as well as other religions seem to know more about different religions then some of the ones in that religion. Take christianity .. atheists and others outside of the christianity understand the bible and the actual religion better then most christians..

So no If you are talking about are they confused about god or religion or jus christianity I do not think they are confused. just because someone does not believe something does not make them confused,,..

I must say that I am fascinated by the frequency with which those who post questions about atheists fail to use the plural form of the noun, even when using the plural form of the verb.

This suggests to me a particular mental quirk that is distributed among these posters. It would appear that these people regard atheists as having one entity. They must think of atheists as a monolithic "unimind" rather like the Borg!

It happens entirely too frequently to be chance.

It's hard to figure out what you think they might confused about. Most of the ones I know are fairly coherent people, with a goodly amount of education and otherwise in OK mental health. In general I don't think they're any more (or less) confused than anyone else.

I was much more confused when I was Catholic. After I converted to Buddhism (Buddha is not a God), I discovered the answers to many questions I had. I am sure though, that there are confused people in any religion or lack thereof.

No more confused than Theists. Nor any more informed than the theists.
Thing is, we do not know our source (yet), which could be totally without a doubt, proven . . so : Nobody knows . . we just make choices what to or not accept to believe.
It's over all JUST fine with me!

YES!!! THEY ARE!!!

They are confused as to how 80% of the world can have an imaginary friend!

They are confused as to how so many people are so blinded by god and religion.

They are confused as to how well-intentioned people can turn into bigoted freaks, and justify it using a book.

They are confused as to how people can ACTUALLY BELIEVE the stupid religious things they believe.

I'm very confused!! Let me get this straight...

God sacrificed himself to himself to save me from himself.

Considering Christianity is a cannibalistic blood cult, yes I'm confused!!!!!!

Once I discarded all of the conflicts and contradictions, I became a lot LESS confused. It was quite liberating.

Us, atheists, believe religious people are confused, or at least deluded.
