If you died right now what would happen; as in, is there an afterlife or not?

I think my soul would spin out of my body and hover above for a little while, then, I'd get sucked into that tunnel, be met by relatives and loved one "over there", review my life, and then? Maybe continue to grow spiritually in heaven by doing some sort of "spiritual" job in heaven. Of course, it's all speculation. I don't remember having died before, but yes I believe in an afterlife

Nothing major at first. I would die , family would bury me unembalmed in a wooden casket. I would decompse into the soil. In time the sun will get large and incinerate the Earth the molecules that were once me will form gas clouds which in time may form planets , stars or other celestial bodies. In more time the process willl repeat itself. I know that I exist because of the death of a star . I know that the first rule of the universe is that death creates life. The Law of the Conservation of Matter and Energy also tells me that I can't be destroyed, I can only change forms.
In a molecular sense we've all existed forever.

OK,i am a Muslim and will ask ur question based on Islam believe, we have been created in this life only to worship god, every thing u do in this life u will accountable for , if u do good deeds u will be rewarded , but if u do sins u will be punished , and then only god will decide either to punish or reward you, if u die right now ur soul will go out of ur body and body`s role will be over, ur soul will go in other world and u will be disconnected from this life and connected to another one where u will be either happy or sad based upon ur deeds, but that`s not all, u will be waitin with those who died before you , all are waiting for the day of judgment, whether u go to paradise or hell fire according to ur deeds and how god judging them, so in this life we have to ask god guidance to the true path (paradise)the ultimate life where there is no death no sickness and no hatred, and we have to ask him to avoid hell fire where there is no mercy when u get there.so simply every thing u do now u will be accountable for and this accountability will start immediately after ur death.and remember don't depend on some body to forgive ur sins , u are the one who should avoid ur sins, by that i mean dont do sin and say that Jesus will forgive them , just don't do them

All we can give at this point is opinion. I've always felt that your spirit, the thing that makes you who YOU are, will stay. Only the body leaves. I remember when my Mom had a stroke, she was in a coma and died 12 hours later. At one point the Doctors said she was not aware of anything around her," What made her who she is, is no longer there". I couldn't agree with him. I still felt her presents, although the body laying in front of me, was contorted and dying.
