Growing Short hair?

I have had short hair forever and ever and would really like to grow it long only my hair is thick and naturally wavy so likes to do what it wants any tips for keeping it looking in some kind of style while it grows

I'm kind of in the same position as you. I used to have long hair but my hair stylist chopped it to bob length as it was severely damaged. My natural hair is thick and curly and I want to grow my hair long again. What I do now is use a leave in conditioner and hair serum and straighten my hair with hair straightners, I then use a hot brush to create seventies style flicks in my hair and it looks really funky and cool.

Try a headband, use some products in the back to create a scruffy look, with a headband in the front, you could try some sparkly hair grips too.. Products are definitely the answer whilst trying to grow it!!!
