You may need to try aleve or get a proscription pain reliever.
Make sure you dont use oragel that would hurt it more.

Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
toothpaste. I found the information at

When you brush his teeth try to stay away from the infected tooth. Have you tryed Baby Orajel? It really helps and is EXTRA gentle. Have him swish (cold) water around in his mouth. This helps the make it feel nice and cool. Best of luck!

try rubbing a childs aspirin directly on the gum around the tooth. trust me, it's safe, and more effective than ingestion. infection is serious stuff. be careful his symptoms don't escalate into other problems. good luck.
