Can a true christian use birth control? You are interfering with god's plan.

We have free will and it's our choice to get pregnant or not. I think it's fine to use birth control. If God really wants me to have a baby he'll give me one regardless of if I'm using birth control. That's like saying it's against God's plan to use a seatbelt because it could affect whether I survive an accident.

Perhaps God planned for Christians to use birth control and those who DON'T use it are interfering with the TRUE plan.

God says be fruitful and multiply, it seems to be our duty. or so i was told when I had to attended Catholic religion classes. I am not overly religious, and each religion interprets gods word differently, however, I don't think it is a sin to use birth control. I used it before marriage ( oh no pre-marital sex!) and had my tubes tied after my second child. I would hope that god would not expect someone that can not afford a lot of children or someone that is not competent enough to have children, to bare them. The amount of children a couple has should be their choice and not the choice of your church or the pope in Rome.

God's plan for us it to learn and grow spiritually based on choices we make...Those using birth control are not interfering with His plan, but are interfering with natural conception.

god created marriage for two reasons. one is unitive, the other to "be fruitful and multiply". birth control is an active action that prevents this. using birth control is just a way of saying, "god, we trust you in all aspects of our lives... except this one." so YES, using birth control is VERY sinful. just because a choice is available to us, doesnt make it ok to use.

Birth control is not a sin, but abortion is.

pretending to know what god's plan really is -- THAT is true sin. and it's a mental disease and a sign of an inflated ego.

I would have to agree somewhat. I say this yet I was guilty of this in my younger years. It is a controversial subject.
