Heres a good routine:

1. Wash and Conditioner your hair...I use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine.
2. Towel Dry your hair until it is just damp.
3. Brush your hair out.
4. Apply a hair smoother, I use Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk.
5. Apply a heat protectant Straightener cream like Loreal Paris Hot Straight.
6. Blow Dry your hair with a diffuser...its best to blow dry it in chunks it takes less time. what I do is put my hair in a half up bun and blowdry the bottom then the top.
7. Once your hair is dry, brush it and spray hairspray in it, then brush it again.
8.Use a ceramic straightener, this is important as a ceramic straightener will do less damage to your hair...Chi are the best I'm told, but I haven't personally used one.
9. When straightening your hair,do it in chunks...I do 3-4 little chunks and start with the bottom of my hair up to the top of my hair.
10. Brush through your hair again and touch up any spots as needed.
11. Hairspray your hair once more to set. And for optimal results finish with a shine spray, I use Garnier Fructis.

I have really thick curly frizzy hair so after the shower, blowdrying my hair takes around 10 minutes and then straightening takes around 10-15....so overall around 30 minutes to get beautiful straight hair...good luck :)

I have similar hair (curly but not unmanageable) and I start by showering with a good shampoo and conditioner as you normally would. When your hair is still wet/damp, blow dry it straight by with a round brush (you may decide to just let your hair dry naturally instead of blow drying). When you are finished blow drying, use a flat iron to finish straightening. I would recommend a chi, which you can find at a hair supply or beauty supply store. It is a little pricey (I think one of their more popular models runs for a little over 80 dollars) but it lasts for a long time and works very well.

Buy a CHI!!! The Chi is the best flat iron in the entire world. Use a relaxer first and buy a heat styling product to aid your hair in dealing with the process. It will take a little bit of time and work, but the Chi will get your hair perfectly straight.

I either use a hairdryer that has a brush attachment, and dry it in chunks.... or if it's already dry, I use a flat iron. Either way takes about 20 minutes. Start at the bottom and clip the top pieces up out of your way. Then work your way up.

Well I dont know how you do it fast... but I have really curly thick hair and I have to blow dry it first and then straighten it with a flat iron. Good luck

turn your straightener on and let it warm up then take pieces not very wide and start at the top and then just slide the straightener down your hair. if you want your hair silky and shiny hair then buy the spray cloud nine hotshapes by brocato. spray like a squirt of that on first then straighten .. it works great
