I've decided to put up new wallpaper in my kitchen. The last time this was done was back in the 70s. So, I have an ugly wallpaper featuring different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Anyway, how does one do this? I really would like to do this myself, you know try something I've never done before. Or, should I hire someone?

A kitchen is one of the trickiest rooms to paper, due to all the odd little corners and nooks and crannies. But if you choose to do it yourself, you will feel so gratified when you've finished.
Be sure to choose a vinyl based paper, for two reasons. It's easier to hang, and it cleans much easier. Measure, measure, measure, then I would even add an extra roll for safe measure. Especially if your pattern is large. There will be a lot of waste.
If you can afford it....hire a profesional...and watch a pro at work. Then choose another room to do yourself. There is nothing like the feeling you get at the end of the job! Good luck.

You go for it girl. It will be difficult and likely not as perfert as a professional but certainly very gratifying. Look up a good wallpaper site like decoratetoday. com and browse the help section.

I, too, would suggest a pro. You can save money by removing the old yourself.
