Because of fanatic religious nuts (Jerry Falwell anyone) tell them they have to spread their religion as the only one.
Look, I love to trash the fundamentalist Christians as much as anyone; however, the truth is that men (usually) who want to be remembered as God themselves are causing this. Jim Jones was a perfect example. Not all Christians and Muslims are evil they are just misguided and brainwashed.

The Catholics and Protestants that fight each other are both wrong. It is only a very small minority of Christians that have committed violent acts toward abortion clinics. I don't know anybody that has ever been involved in that.

i am a Muslim and i will answer your question based upon my religion , first of all Islam is not a religion of violence as every body insist on believing these days,do u know the greeting in slam (slam alikum ) means peace be upon you, and if u are a true Muslim u cant even cut a tree if it is not necessary to do so, but u definitely u defend ur self if u been attacked wrongly , or insulted then it better that u forgive if u can do so.

In every religion/community there are violent people. But its very rare in Christianity.
However the same cannot be said of Muslims. Their holy scriptures teaches them to violent. Most of the terrorism in the world is because of them. The world is being held ransom by Islam.

It is similar to a petulant child. If the child does not get their way, they throw a temper tantrum. In this case the temper tantrum involves the loss of human life as well as property.
We must teach our fellow citizens, that no matter what religious beliefs they have, or what their god tells them to do, that it is not as important than their fellow citizens' lives.
Unfortunately, many religious extremists do not accept such teachings well.

I've never seen a violent Christian, however these muslims like to bomb and kill people because they worship a false "god" they call allah.
