But how do we convince them that their computers are evil, and they should burn them?

The Bible doesn't condemn medicine. The Gospel of Luke and The Book of Acts was written by a doctor. Jesus said "it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick" Does that sound like praying for a cure or blaming demons?

i am agnostic.i think the bible is not a literal work, its relative. to the reader, the writer (as the bible was written by people, who i don't even think were christian when they wrote it but i could be wrong) and also the times it was written. things such as not eating meat on certain days, having premarital sex, science...etc all ways for the church and state to keep the population healthy secure feeling and following the church.
medical practices were very unsanitary and unstudied so people got sicker most of the time when they saw real docs ... just a guess *shrugs* i like the bible its a good book. would like to read the first one but i think id have to learn a new language and that would take a while...

Unfortunately there are people who still take it literally. The bible is a pearl, and all pearls start with a grain of sand (which is the TRUTH). The trick is to look past the pearl, smash it, so to speak, and find that one grain of sand. Otherwise you are caught up in the folklore and superstition.

In all probability we would still be chasing locusts and manna from heaven in the Sinai. For the believers that is. . Do not forget that the Church tried it's damnedest to keep us in the dark. They still try. Can not deny them there effort and tenacity towards this goal. Ignorance is the mother of all evil.

It is obvious you have never read the Law through Moses.
It was light years ahead of its time.
Israelites, due to God's law, practiced quarantine 100's of years ahead of 'modern' medecine.
The practice of simple hand-washing originated with the Israelites, thanks to God's law.
This is something Dr. Semmelweiss (in the 1800's) finally got across to the college of medecine.
A surgeon by the name of Rendle Short noted:
"It is surprising that a nation like Israel, just emerging from slavery, should have a health code so wise, so reasonable."
So wise, so reasonable!
In Israel there was no polio, cholera, jaundice, tetanus, dysntry or typhoid.
You know not of what you speak.

If we continued to allow ourselves to be held captive to religious belief there would be far fewer people on the planet.
