No, it will just tone up your tummy muscles making your tummy look firmer. If anything, it might make your tummy look slightly bigger, especially if you do a lot of sit-ups or use weights on your chest. The only way to make your tummy look smaller is to lose weight.

Sit-ups won't make your tummy smaller, but they will make it more toned. Body fat is reduced as a whole and can't be reduced from one specific area of the body. However, if you build muscles in your stomach, they will help you reduce allover body fat. I'd suggest cardio 20-30minutes a day, 3-5x a week, and 50 crunches a day to tone the tummy area.

Sit-ups will tone your tummy, not make it smaller. The only way to get rid of fat is to do cardiovascular exercise. The fat burned by exercise is universal; therefore, if you run you will lose fat all over your body, not just your legs. However, the muscles in your legs will grow whereas your unused muscles will not.

No, if you have belly fat, situps will not get rid of the fat. It will only make the muscles under the fat stronger. The fat will still cover the muscle. You need to run or bike or do some other cardio to get rid of the fat. Burning fat is the only way to make your belly smaller.

Sit-ups strengthen the muscles that make up the abdomen, which will make it flatter, pulled in, and tighter looking. However, they do very little to diminish any belly fat. If you have belly fat, you can get rid of it by adding cardio, and making sure you don't consume more calories than you burn.

NO< NO< NO< NO< NO, you can not spot reduce fat areas, the only way is to cut down your overall body fat. Everyone has abs but the layers of fat hide them, You should still work you stomach muscles, because once. you do reduce your fat they will look sloppy if you don't tone them,
