If we believe in one God why too many religion ?
I am really confused by the number of religion and their denomination. If there is one God and every one believes on that. Why too many of them? Why each of them claiming they take you to the God’s path better and faster than the other religion. I hope religion is not a tour guide. Do you think is that too much commercialization instead of religion.

It's almost like religion is a tree. You have a root religion, like Christianity, and then it branches off into many directions.
Why all the branches? Because there's been a lot of time since the religion was formed. People interpret things differently, have conflicts and differences of opinion, and some may make things up, etc and so they go off on their own branch. Then once people go off on their own branch, the same process will occur and the branch will branch off into more branches.

Some branches of religion will think they are more correct than others and say bad things about other branches. Perhaps the big branches don't have anymore truth than the little branches. Who knows?

Sometimes it seems there is too much commercialism. Especially when insincere people are profiting from religion. However, I don't think all commercialism is bad, because many religious books are helpful to people, as well as religious music cds. Sometimes I have thought that religions shouldn't ask for money at all. However, religions do need money for buildings, helping members in need, helping kids go to camp, helping the poor, etc. Perhaps some religions, since people make up religions, are better at spending their money than others.

No, we do not believe in one god. Atheists do not believe in any god(s). Neither do agnostics. Pantheists believe in several gods. Although the muslim god, the jewish god, and the christian god have similar antecedents, their current versions of this god is so different from each other, that they are not the same god by any stretch of the imagination.

Even within a religion, such as christianity, there are several interpretations of what god values in priority. Hence within christianity there are several hundred denominations.

Do you actually expect any of them to claim they are the wrong religion?
If you believe the Bible, study it objectively without any denominational assumptions. The truth is not hard to see. Many choose their traditions over what the Bible says.

We, as the children of our creator, are all brothers and sisters in this realm of mortality. But some, through their own greed or prejudice have seen it fitting to change the word of the Creator to fit their needs or desires. Don't let this trouble you, the fact remains that we are all connected. Treat all of his creation with love and compassion and do your best to live in the light of his ways. Respect those who are different for they too are your brother or sister tho they believe differently. All will work itself out in the end. Be content in your faith and go with God in you own way.

Humans can't decide upon the proper color for a car, or how to cook a steak.

Something as complex as a relationship with a supreme being is bound to cause even more disagreements.

Religion is man reaching up to touch God.
Jesus is God reaching down to touch man. To know God, we just have to know Jesus. Religion is made by man for man. God is not religious, He is a Spirit and wants us to know Him personally.

simply, because religion is for groups, it's cultural - spirituality is personal - it takes a lot of groups to find a "match" for each person's philosophy - i don't really see connections to commercialization in modern religions but i do see a lot of political leaders that encourage us to be against each other, because our wars are their monetary gain.

Religions (and gods) are all invented by human beings, who have different imaginations and different reasons for inventing them. That's why there are so many.
