Muscle breaks down faster than fat. When you don't eat your body goes into starvation mode and practically shuts down. Your metabloism slows and your energy levels drop in conservation. To feed itself you body will eat away at the muscle tissue - the muscle tissue is actually what burns fat (24/7). If you notice a weight change from not eating in a few days it has nothing to do with fat, it's a change in your water weight. You've lost water mass.
To lose weight eat 6 meals a day every 2-3 hours starting 1 hour after you wake till about 6. Larger heavier meals in the AM lighter meals in the PM.
Incorporate all 4 food groups - Starches, proteins, veggies and fruits. They all help the body to lose weight, and stay healthy in different ways. You not only have to worry about weight loss you want to be concerned about heart function, immune system, brain function, and your bones. What is the use of having a great body if you're sick?
Work out regularly. It doesn't have to be 2 hours of cardio and an extensive weight lifting program. You'll see great changes w/ just 30 minutes / 3 times a week and weight lifting once a week (full body) - you want time for your body to recover. If you don't allow your body to recover you do more damage and make smaller changes. Let your muscles reconstruct.
Good Luck and continue to eat!

After 8 hours of being awake and not eating, the body actually begins to store more fat as a result of being in starvation mode. A much more effective way to burn fat is to increase your metabolism by eating small meals (very small if you like) every 2 to 3 hours. Don't believe that starving yourself will burn fat.

That is really bad for your body. The thing is, you will end up losing weight, but at the same time your body will use the food stored in your body and store it as fat rather than nutrients. Also, as soon as you start eating again after 3 days, then your body won't digest as much and keep storing it as fat until it realizes that you're not depriving your body anymore.
It's not a good way to lose weight, but cutting down on the calories and your portion sizes, as well as a bit of exercise is a great and healthy way to lose weight! ;-) Good luck! :-D

No, you burn fat when you eat several small meals and snacks throughout the day, your metabolism speeds up. If you don't eat, whenever you do, your body will hang onto the food for dear life, and this is how you gain weight!

If you don't eat for 3 days, your body goes into starvation mode.
Starvation mode is the body's way of preserving itself, by lowering the metabolism, and storing every single calorie consumed (later) as fat to be used for energy.
So while you won't see immediate effects of weight loss (3 days is too soon), you will do more damage that will be seen later.

when you dont eat, your body will go to the stored fat for energy. dont eat in 3 days, your body will continue to use the stored fats for energy for those 3 days. day 4 onwards, as u eat, you will put on more weight. this is what you call rebound.
abstaining from food is the worst method to lose weight.

your body looks for alternitive sources of energy. for the first two days your body burns exclusively through gylcogen stores in the liver, which is has as a back up plan. after those first two days, it will burn about 60% muscle and 40% fat, and it will burn less calories than if you eat because your metabolism slows to compensate for the lack of food. also, you will feel tired and lethargic.

well.you can't die not eaeting for three days.nor you can lose any weight / fat ( if that is what you wanted to hear )
but you'll get weak cuz you wont be gettin any nutrients , so you'll start to look dull and ugly and weak and your bp level will be low and you can even faint and you might as well be needed to go to a doctor immedietly.
NOT eating for losing/burning fat is the worst idea i've ever come across in my life.

you lose wieght while you don't eat
but once you do eat
your metabolism reacts to the food
and saves it just in case you do starve
yourself again
so starving yourself isn't a good way to
lose weight, it'll probably just make you gian weight
