It depends on the time of year.
On long 3 day weekends, its bad.
If its snowing, then I-80 sometimes gets closed completely.

Other than those two things, the traffic is not at all bad, but the road is in fairly rough shape in certain places.

It depends on the weather and whether or not it is a 3-day weekend. Usually the drive takes between 2 and 3 hours. Lots of winding roads, but not as bad as driving to Lake Tahoe. If it's snowing, the freeway might be shut down.

Rough in winter and on the weekends. Pretty drive though. I would recommend using the train or bus as an alternative to driving as fare can be really low due to heavy competition.

right now with the snow it is a parking lot on I-80. Otherise not so bad during the week, busier on weekends. 140 miles
