No and no.

You don't include her income on your return. If she made over $5150 then she is required to file her own return if you can claim her as a dependent. If she made less than that but had anything withheld for federal income tax, she should file a return to get it refunded to her.

You can still claim her as a dependent, and still get the child tax credit, as long as she lived with you for at least half the year and didn't provide more than half of her own support.

Not to worry.

You still file your return as in the past, claiming your 16 year-old child as a dependent. You will get all the credits you got in the past.

Your child will file a return with zero exemptions and will get most or all of the withholding back, assuming his/her income was under $5,150.

No, you NEVER add a childs wages to your income.

Since she had less than $5,150 in wages, she has no tax liability and only would need to file a tax return if she had income taxes withheld from her wages and wants to have those withholdings refunded.

This has no affect on your entitlement to the Child Tax Credit.

It depends on how much your gross income is but if you are within your limits you will get your tax credit and your kid will get what they take out on him or her.
