I wouldn't think that it would be against the law. but be aware that some schools have rules concerning hair styles and coloring in the dress codes,.. You may want to check it out, or wait and color your hair over the summer vacation..
My 11 year old grandson put blue gel in his hair to spike it on the last day of school.. I asked him "What are you going to do if you get to school and they say .. No Way...?" He replied.. "I'll figure it out if they say something".. As he stepped off the school bus, they escorted him to the bathroom and had him wash it out...
I love that he wants to be an individual...

no its not against the law. i am 15 now. and i have been dyeing my hair scince i was like 7. but do be careful. because i had my hair so damaged. i just had to cut it all off and wait till it grew back. now i have started taking prenatal vitamins and my hairs grows soooo fast so. i dont dye it anymore. but i used to all the time. have fun. and dont get as wild as i did. lol. i dyed my hair purple once. and it was horrible.

it's not against the law, however i know the schools here have rules of "only natural hair color" i guess that means brown, black, blonde, reds...etc....no green, pink, purple etc...
