Bed wetting happens to a lot of children, and boys do this more than girls. Their bodies are growing fast and have grown faster than the bladder. Also some boys lack a hormone in their body and want obtain that hormone until they go through puberty. This happened to my husband and my best friends son and I guess my son too.
My suggestion is that you take him to the doctor and together you discuss options. They have pills that help however they do dry you out quite well causing dry mouth which in turn makes you want to drink more.
Another option would be to have him be responsible for getting his on wet sheets to the laundry. There is no harm in this. He is old enough to learn to do chores around the house and because he wets his bed he needs to help clean it just like he needs to help clean the rest of his room.
If you are trying to save on laundry there are the night pants designed for boys up till high school and girls that matter. More and more kids are using them, my son and my best friends son use them. My son is seven, my best friends son will be twelve soon and already has stated that he will not use undies at night until the wetting has stopped. He even uses them when he goes out, there are three other boys in our church his age that wet and they use them too. Some boys are embarressed and some or not. He descretely puts his on in the bathroom right before he goes to bed.
Now, the very thing you don't want to do is to get upset with him. My husband and I both were bedwetters, and we were given every treatment in the book. I was fifteen when I stopped wetting the bed and my husband was fourteen. We were embarrassed enough, but then our parents stayed on us, spanked us, took us to doctors, did everything except rub our noses in it. But for all they did do they might as well have rubbed our noses in it.
I am not being gripy and down on you, I am just letting you know from his perspective, he really cannot help it, and though he may not show it, he really would like to stop. He just can't, and he is probably the type that says to himself, I am doing all I can so oh well. That is a good personality to have, because in the world of bedwetting, there could be a lot worse going on.
Most of all just be patient and this will pass. If it is psycological it will stop when nobody is mentioning it anymore.

In a funny way it is good that he doesn't let it bother him, or makes it seem that way. it is not his fault that he wets, so what good will feeling guilty and miserable do to help? I am sure you would prefer that he DOESN'T wet the bed, but I am also pretty sure that you are glad that he doesn't come to you every morning crying "mommy, I wet the bed!" and being unhappy most of the time. In a way he has simply accepted his condition. Since it happens all the time, it is what he knows. Waking up wet to him is just the normal experience of waking up.
I know that doesn't help him stop. For that you need the help of a doctor. But I think more importantly is the mental and emotional well-being of your son, that he is happy and not an emotional wreck. Most people would wish this on any child who has a medical condition of any kind, whether a serious injury or mental disability. In your case just be glad it is wet sheets. Or, if you are smart, a wet diaper. You don't get rid of a cat because you have to clean its litter box!

This is not an irregular problem. Many people do it. Even adults, which should of been corrected years ago. Get him Pull Ups. It may seem like they are for little kids, but that can seriously help. Just tell him that he is getting older, and he may not stop if he does not correct this issue now. There are bed wet alarms that beep when you start to go to the bathroom, so that can moniter what time it usually occurs, and set an alarm to wake him up to go pee in the night. Hope he can overcome this problem. Good Luck!! :)

There is a little device I used to stop my son from wetting his bed. Most bed wetters sleep too soundly and their bodies don't recognize the signals to get up and go to the bathroom.
The device I used was a little squealer. You attach the sound box to the shoulder of their pajamas with a sensor leading into the child's bottoms (for boys on the front of their PJ bottoms, for girls on the crotch of the PJ's). When moisture hits the sensor, the noise box wakes up the child, alerting them to the need to go to the bathroom.
It is very effective, does not hurt the child in the least, and trains the child to wake up when they need to use the bathroom.
Good Luck

Try waking him up during the night for a bathroom break and when he doesn't wet the bed during the night make it a big thing so that he thinks all the extra special attention for not wetting the bed is so much worth the extra effort.

I would speak to the doctor but first off make sure that his liquid intake is low prior to bed, especially soda. That goes right through them and if he is very sound sleeper like my son he likely to wet his bed. I don't allow any soda at least 2 hours before bed. Water is better for him anyway.

Go to the doctor it may be more or less serious than you think. In the meantime have him got to the bathroom before bedtime. And maybe try limiting the amount of fluids he drinks before bedtime. He may just be drinking too much before he goes to sleep and forgets to go to the bathroom.
