there is the nose screw, that screws, the nose bone, which is straight with a little ball at the end, and nose studs which are just straight posts that look like earrings with no backings. there are also what they call you bend studs which are really long and you bend it once it's in your nose to fit you. the screws also have what are called bio flex where the gem part pops out so you don't have to thread the screw through your nose.

Other than nostirl screws and nose bones, you can use a CBR (captive Bead Ring) or a segment ring. Word of warning - stay away from nose bones, they are the most horrible jewelry invention ever. They often need to be cut out, and almost always tear tissue when being removed. Stick to a screw or ring and your nose will thank you.

I almost forgot, you can use small labret posts as well, but it's sometimes difficult to find one short enough

I know the ones that are screwed at the end and the ones that are straight, then theres ones that are just bent at the end not screwed though. I only do the straight ones, the others are too difficult to get in or out.
