He has been to numerous doctors and they have done different things to help him. he has even had a root canal. He is convinced that botox will help, beacuse it is a problem with the gum, and he thinks it will freeze it, and stop the pain. No doctors will perform botox because it is not garanteed. to help. He has tried over the counter gels, and even has been prescribed vicoden, but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone have any suggestions to manage the pain?

If your boyfriend is still having fevers after 5 days, he needs to go back to the dentist. Not all antibiotics work for all problems. The doctor/dentist picks the one that is most likely to help. In your bf's case, it doesn't not appear to be working and he needs a different option. Additionally, once the immediate infection is under control your boyfriend will need the treatment to repair the problem so it doesn't happen again. This may involve a root canal, extraction or something else.

my dad is a dentist and i know nothing about it, but if he thinks it's a gum problem, he might want to go to the dentist again and ask if they can do something on his gums instead of his teeth. got to a specialist (you might ask the dentist if he knows of one or go online) because that might help if the gum job does not. good luck!!!!
