The three largest Jewish denominations believe Jews were chosen by God for a purpose, and many interpret this to mean Jews are superior spiritually in relation to God than other ethnic groups. However, Romans 2:11 says there is no respect of persons with God, and we're also told ALL men were created in the image of the Lord.
History reveals that Jews were the majority who pushed for the torment and killing of Jesus. Matthew 27:24-25 The whole crowd [the Jews] answered back: Let his blood be on our heads and the heads of our children."
And Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 the Jews killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and persecuted us. How displeasing they are to God! How hostile they are to all men. They even tried to stop us from preaching to the Gentiles...This is the last full measure of the sins they have always committed. And now God's wrath has at last fallen upon them.
Considering all the above, can someone explain their interpretation of scriptures regarding the Jews in relation to other ethnic groups? I would think each Jew would be judged individually as all humans, based on their hearts and faith in the Lord. Also, why would the fact that the Lord had a "purpose" for the Jews, imply they are spiritually superior? Men are also chosen for a purpose in the church in relation to women, but this does not mean they are superior to others, or will receive special recognition for eternal life and blessings. What do all of you think? Thanks

The Secret dvd has NOTHING to do with God, Christianity, or scripture. In fact, it is in contradiction to scripture because it encourages people to depend on their thoughts to attract what they need or desire rather than God. It's no more than the latest new age fad.

Loyal P aka Ivri_Anokhi, or whatever alias you're using today...as I explained to you in private, I believe all ethniciteis are God's children, and the Lord does not favor someone based on their ethnic group. I also explained that one either believes the Bible is the inspired word of God, through faith, or they don't which is the case with you. You are not Christian, and support the Muslim faith as shown in messages you've posted under you "Ivri_Anokhi" ID, which explains a lot. Or did you not realize you emailed me from both alias names? Your accusations and inuendos concerning Anti-Semitism, only reveal your intent to spread false teaching, heresy, and diminish the Word of God. You have not been successful here. The Bible warns that people like you will present false images, pretending to be someone they are not to cause division among Christians. Have a good day.

As you have stated from Romans, we know that the purpose of Israel was to be protectors of the given law and do the service of God and obtain the promises given to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. They are only spiritually superior because the law had been given to them first (to the Jew first then the Gentile) and much is required of them because of this. However, the Jews did not understand that these promises would include the Gentile. All are not the seed of Abraham and all are not the children of God. So God's purpose was not of the Jews only but also of the Gentiles or other ethnic groups if you will. Hos 2:23. To end it God stated as you have that He is no respecter of persons for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one who believes. For there is no difference between the Jew or the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

God used Abram to let Him be known in the world. Everyone was worshipping false idols and God used Abram and his descendents to reveal the True God of heaven and earth to everyone. The Jews were fiercely jealous of their God. Whenever someone told them that they couldn't worship THWH, there was an uprising!! The Jews would do everything that they had to do, but when it came to worshipping a false god, they would get into a fighting mood real quick!! When Jesus Christ came ontothe scene, the Jewish leaders didn't believe because He didn't come as a conquering King as they thought He would. Even though they knew the prophesies that were written in the Old Testament!! There are many Jews that went through the Salvation in Acts 2:38, and it isn't to late for anyone now to get Born Again!! And when you receive the Holy Ghost Acts 2:4, then you will have Spiritual Superiority!

What history??? Anyway they were all Jews including Jesus. The other party involved, the Romans, did not give a damn if the Jews wanted to butcher each other. Paul was a Jew...There is no history involved in this whatsoever. It's mostly an urban myth. Just because some bronze age medicine men decided they are chosen does not make it so.The only thing that makes you, is a staunch racist.

The verses that you quote have nothing in common with history. They are inaccurate distortions based on a certain agenda. This agenda is not called philo-Judaism, for example.
Mya confuses history with "Matthew."
And these verses have been used for 2000 years of ignorant anti-Semitism.
In private communication, Mya supports the anti-Semitism inherent in the so-called "New Testament." Even after such eminent Christians as the Pope have rejected it. Unless, of course, Mya does not recognize the Pope as Christian.

It would not get into scripture no remember if it is not relative to the circumstances. besides the fact that Jesus replace into complaining approximately his religious leaders of his time, the Pharisees, Gentile Christians ought to easily replace into attentive to echos of their physique of suggestions interior the Christian leaders of the early Church. that's a continual institutional subject. there is often a temptation for leaders to simplify their jobs, purely guard appearances, and handle their followers particularly than serve them. that's why Jesus stored emphasizing the importance of humility in leaders, because of the fact it is extremely basic to ignore the middle undertaking for the sake of institutional performance. besides the fact that Jesus counseled against speeding to judgment, we are able to make a huge difference between own motivation and organizational effectiveness. Incompetence is drastically distinctive from corruption. Is the Church management purely fumbling and disorganized or does the device look rigged? Jesus wasn't declaring a definite individual, he replace into pointing at how the damaging and powerless have been being abused mutually as the wealthy and related have been gaining wealth and honor. Corruption would not take place in a vacuum. There are enablers, people who permit the injustices to proceed. And it is not in basic terms the elites. oftentimes effortless contributors are keen to tolerate a undesirable subject because of the fact reform is extra hassle than they prefer to handle. So no remember no remember if we are a bishop or an basic congregant, we could ask ourselves oftentimes no remember if we live out our Christianity essentially, no remember if we are making issues extra effective or allowing them to worsen.

I believe they are favored by God in order for Him to accomplish His will. He chose them for His purpose to set an example to the rest of the world of His love. Also to have a bloodline by which to send Jesus into the world and also a means of recording His Word.

They are not favored by Bible believing Christians. This heresy is promoted by most televangelists in th u.s.a. and that is why your average jane or joe thinks Christians believe Jews are God's "Chosen People".

all thru time, the Israelites have have had their struggles with God... sometimes they follow... sometimes they didnt... but all in all, the Israelites (Jewish people) are God's chosen people. we know this because it is stated over and over in the bible.
as far as spiritually superior? i don't think that it says that anywhere in the scriptures... they are the same as other people... created equal and it all comes down to the relationship with God.
when the Word was written, culture and timeframe made it very odd to have women in any place of authority... but I think women have just as big a role in the church as men... albeit different roles, but just as important... women are to teach other women... many things.
