i actually have... when i was 16 i dated a 22 year old, he and i broke up a year ago and now the first boyfriend i've had since him, is the same age as him.. they are both turning 26 and i am turning 20......
i think its just the type of guy that we wanna be with... like the age range is the same, they may or may not be...
and i didn't think that until i started dating my current boyfriend....
there is nothing to be ashamed about or worry about, as long as the man treats you well and you are happy date anyone that you want no matter the age...

there's a lot an older partner can offer, such as experience and i just dont mean sexual experience, they can often offer experience in many different areas of life but its also important not to try to 'grow up' too soon. Theres a lot to be said for being young, its the only time in your life you can act like an idiot and get away with it!and also, be mindful of why this older person is/still is single.I was 17 when i started going out with my now partner who was 25 at the time. there is nothing i regret but there are many things that perhaps happened a bit to quickly because certain things are assumed to happen/have or do by a certain age.you may be more mature for your age right now than most, however don't rule out being with people your own age, perhaps when you get a little older.

Yeah, exactly the same ages.
We got married.
We're now divorced. I needed time to find myself and to grow up properly. I suddenly realised that in actual fact he was the worst person I could have been with, even though I thought I was in love with him at the time.
My advice?
Age difference isn't a problem as such, but just don't settle down with a guy (especially if he's older than you) before you're at least 25 and you know who *you* are :)
Apart from that there is no problem. I am now with someone else who is 9 years older than me and it's perfect, but I'm also 12 years older than I was first time around!
CG.
ps, I did date someone a couple of years younger than me in between, but although it was nice I found that generally he was a little more immature, and also seemed to feel the need to settle down and have kids more than I did, perhaps because I'd been there, done that and he hadn't? Who knows.

Yeah i've gone out with guys my own age and older guys too. I could never go out with a guy of my own age again i don't think (I'm 30). Older guys are so much more interesting and more experienced (lol) and to be honest, the age difference is a thing that i never think about as it's not an issue and never has been. Good luck!

I know the feeling! I'm 16 and dating a 21 year old... and now I see very little that is attractive about teenagers any more. They're all gelled hair and massive egos and really immature... I like going out with more mature guys.
Solution? No idea really. Date a few guys who ask you out, maybe you'll find they're actually quite fun and relaxed to hang around with and have a not-so-serious relationship with.
Good luck!

Old is Gold! at 17 you should look for an older guy atleast 6-7 years older than you are. There are many waiting for you in the corner if you are a good girl. Wish u good luck.

age really doesn't matter. I never said that I'd date someone younger than me, well that didn't last too long cause I met this guy. When he and I were together it was definately the most fun I had, and I dated a guy older and the same age as me. Dont base your qualifications on age, base it on maturity and how they make you feel and how they treat you. Honestly.

I've been seeing a guy who is 10 yrs older than me for more than 3 yrs now and we have a little girl who is 2 yrs old. Before i met him, i had never been in a relationship for longer than 2 mths and he is the only man i can see me being with in the future. i think us girls see older men as being more mature, but that isn't always the case.

I was always the same when I was around your age. Guys my age bored me then!! Most of my boyfriends were 12 to 15 years older than me,as I found them more attractive and interesting. Suspect it's the same thing with you.
