yes, you have to force yourself to eat more. ive heard of some people needing over 4000 calories a day to build muscle. also remember to eat clean foods, eating cheesebugers isnt going to get in your great shape even if you naturally burn it off.

No that is not true! I am an athlete and I have a very high metabolism and am able to tone and strengthen my muscles just fine. If you are working out hard enough and properly enough then you are building muscles. Your muscle definition may not look like the body builder on tv because you have 2 different body types but you are still building muscle. If you are looking to bulk up you have to take some drastic measures which I wouldn't recommend in order to compete with the next guy. Just because you are skinny doesn't mean you can't train your muscles to be stronger. Hope that helps

i wouldnt think the metabolism would really affect the muscles,,,,,, it does the fat,, as you burn up calories more,,,,,,,, it may be your body type,, some are more muscular then others,,,,,
this link has a good explanation of types
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mayner3.htm
and how to approach body building , depending on your type
of course, a high metabolism and a Ectomorph
body type would make it doubly hard
and always remember, each individual is different,,,,,, i am a Ectomorph with a hig metabolism who puts on muscle build up very easy,,,

It is more difficult to do so, but not impossible. One of the best things to do is buy the "weight-gain" formulas from your local GNC. They are filled with not only calories, but also a great mix of amino acids, and other protein building blocks that help build muscles. I recommend weight gainer 2200 gold banana split (must like bananas).

well that's true but what you could is start t miss meals and less exercise only for an small amount of time, then when you eat properly the weight will come on massively then work out and bingo muscle!

you simply are not consuming enough calories to promote weight gain. you need to start counting calories and increase your cals by 10% each week until weight gain occurs...
