Go in and take a nice long bath or shower. Shave your legs (and other areas) Get out and use all your lady stuff like powder and lotion and perfume. Brush your teeth and comb your hair, so what it's falling out....it will grow back I promise.
Once your in some nice comfy clothes sit down on the couch with a pencil and paper and start writing about what you want your life to be like. DO NOT WRITE ABOUT HOW UNHAPPY YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, that will only make you feel worse. Write about what kind of job you would like to have, how you would like your house to look, what kind of friends you want, how you could change your furniture around. Anything that might inspire you or that has inspired you in the past.
I'm not saying this will get you over your depression but it will make you stop crying for a little while, it will be a break from the pain.
Now, what your going through is normal. I went through this myself two years ago. I was horribly depressed, my marraige was terrible, I wanted to die. You are in a low spot, but remember that there will be highs again, life won't be like this forever. Take baby steps toward your goals, don't come down on yourself for feeling bad just remind yourself that this is temporary and someday you will (refer back to your journal).
I can hear in your message that you are hurting right now, I wish I could be there with you because I understand how your feeling. But your strong enough to recognize that this isn't the way it's supposed to be. Your going to be okay. Love yourself even on your worst days and you will start to feel better.

You could try St John's Wort. It's been a natural remedy for depression for years. I would recommend supplementing any medicine with some sort of physical and mental treatment as well. What I mean is, try to be active by stretching or meditating or maybe walking or doing a sport. These things can help by helping you take your mind off things so you can feel better, and by structuring your time to think about things, because accepting your emotions and difficulties is the best way I've found to help my depression. Also, if you can afford to and have the time, try to find a counselor who fits your personal style. I have had one for three years, and it's been wonderful. But, you can always start with St John's Wort. Be sure to read the label! And I wish you well.

Try to make some changes in your life. Buy a brand new composition notebook, and write down how your life is now. The good, and the bad. Take the items from the bad, and write out a plan on how you can take steps towards making them better. Read this notebook every day to make sure you are working towards your goals. (Your spirits will lift as you come closer to achieving your goals).
Also, remember to HALT. The acronym is a reminder not to allow yourself to become too (H)ungry, (A)ngry, (L)onely, or (T)ired. They teach this in AA as triggers for alcohol consumption, but they are also triggers for depression, I've found.
Finally, if your living in the Northeast where the winter can really get you down, try going to a tanning bed (with PLENTY of sunscreen!!) Some studies have shown that exposure to UV rays can improve a persons mood.
Take care, and be well.
