Here's a riddle. You are walking along a path with you come to a fork in the road. There are two men at this fork, one for each path. These two men are completely identical. You know that one of these men always lies, and one always tells the truth. But you don't know which one is which. One of the paths is the right way, and the other is the wrong way. Both these men know which is the right path. In order to find out, you can ask both these men one question, but it has to be the same question with each man. What question would you ask? This is tough because if you simply ask, "which path is the right way", both the men will tell you something different because one always lies and the other is always honest.
Answer: You must ask the men this question: "What would the other man say is the right way?". Both men will tell you that the other will instruct you to take the same path. The liar will tell you that the honest man would instruct you to take the wrong path. The honest man will truthfully tell you that the liar would instruct you to take the wrong path. So both men will be pointing to the wrong path. Therefore, you take the path that neither man specified. I hope I explained this riddle well. It really needs to be illustrated.

Your driving a bus down main street, seven people get on the bus at the first stop, you travel 100 yards to the next stop where three people get off, one little elder lady with a cat in a bag gets on, followed by a 'mom' with child, then travel 1 city block, turn left, and stop outside a deli.

What is the name of the bus driver?

Ans, re-read the question!

This is not a really hard one if you think about it, but a lot of people give a wrong answer at first.

A farmer wants to build a fence which is 100 metres long, and has poles spaced by 25 metres. How many poles does he need?

The answer is 5, but a lot of people say 4 ;)

Question: In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?

Answer: Turn any one switch to the "on" position for 5 minutes, then turn that switch "off". Quickly turn any other switch to the "on" position and run up stairs. Feel the two lights that are "off". One of them will be "hot" because is was "on" for 5 minutes. Obviously the "hot" bulb is controlled by the first switch you turned "on". The light that is currently "on" is controlled by the switch you last turn "on". The "cold" bulb that is "off" is controlled by the only switch left. When solving problems we often need to use all our senses.
