This is in connection to a Long Distance thing.

My point is: How can true love thrive....if the person isnt there for you on a day to day basis (even though it's on phone) and has no idea what's going on in your life. Is love supposed to continue on despite infrequent conversation? Your thoughts?

I guess it depends on the quality of your communication, no matter how frequent it is. Seeing someone daily allows them access to those highs and lows of your day to day life but doesn't necessarily mean either of you will be sharing the information you need with one another to build your relationship. My boyfriend has been in Iraq 9 months out of the last 12 but we have gotten much closer over that time and if we're lucky we get to talk once a week. Not sure how old you are but we're in our 30s (31,30) so have been in a lot of different types of relationships before now and knew what we had to do if we wanted to make this one work. So for it's working great. When he gets back I'm sure that will continue not taper off because we've built a good foundation.

Throughout my life, I've discovered something that is true every single time in a relationship. You need intellectual stimulation, physical stimulation, and emotional stimulation. If even one of the three is missing, the relationship never seems to last.

You're missing all three, unfortunately. Think about your past relationships, and you'll see that at least one of those components was missing and it ended up not working out. It's a very interesting discovery.

true love is a feeling in the heart that sparks and never dies... it carries on no matter what... you can not see or speak to eachother for ages and ages but when you suddenly speak or see eachother again then it just starts all over again... there's always a special place in your heart for that special person, it just doesnt go away...
anyway take care... :-)

I'm in a similar situation.
I believe that it's *how long* you're far away from each other that makes the relationship slowly die. =(
