If someone has hypothyrodism would it cause lack of energy and fatigue as well?

TSH stimulates the thyroid to produce T3 and T4. This will increase your metabolism. If someone has hypothyroidism they will generally be overweight and tired. There can even been some mental retardation in some cases (cretinism).

Yes, those are the symptoms of hypothyroidism. The thyroid hormones regulate metabolism and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), as its name says, regulates the amount of thyroid hormone produced. Of course, in hypothyroidism the regulatory mechanism isn't working properly, and the pituitary makes extra TSH in order to force the issue, but it doesn't work.

their normal action is to maintain ur BMR (basal metabolic rate)

in hypo -BMR is reduced...patient gains weight & is lethargic

in hyper - patient loses weight & is hyperactive
