To Christians, I suppose.

If the world began with Adam and Eve, than tell me how there are different races. How come you can tell the difference between Japanese and Chinese people by looking at them, if the world began with two people? I understand the way that they explain different languages. But, different races, Black and White? Caucasian, and such?

At the tower of Babel, they say that only the language they spoke changed, not the color of their skin, or their appearance.

If you say that evolution caused people to change, how come you say that we couldn't have come from monkeys, or whatever?

***Attention Everybody***
There is no such thing as race!! Race can't be proven scientifically. We belong to one race. Our color difference doesn't make us different races.
Race is a social concept and began around the 18th century by the English to justify their high status in the world and brutal treatment of other human beings. Check out PBS and a book about race by Audrey Smedley, who is a professor at University of Virginia.

"Book Description
In a sweeping work tracing the idea of race for more than three centuries, Audrey Smedley shows that "race" is a cultural invention that has been used variously and opportunistically since the eighteenth century. Race was not a product of science but a folk classification reflecting a new form of social stratification and a rationalization for inequality among the peoples of North America."

The best way I can answer this is to give you a brief lesson on genetics. People of color carry what is called a recessive pigmentation gene and a dominant pigmentation gene. The dominant genes create a brown or dark-skinned complexion while the recessive genes carry no pigmentation at all, such as the complexions of albinos and whites.

When two people with recessive genes mate, the offspring has pale skin. When people carrying both types of genes mate, the offspring could be pale, light, medium brown, dark, etc. As people migrated to different parts of the world, their bodies adapted to climate, specialized diets, and other factors that impacted their pigmentation genes, causing differing physical traits.

The fact is they also have to explain why we have 4 main blood types if it all began with 1 family. I say different races came from different beings who came to this earth from beyond because every culture and religion say the same thing about their god. He's not from earth, his angels bring higher knowledge, perform act too advanced for us so it appears miraculous etc. And they even mixed in with us sexually. Gen-6:4 is an example.

The images of these Gods are the images of the beings who came here and it is obvious that not just 2 people could've done this nor could the climate conditions affect us down to our DNA.

It is called adaptation of the species. Climate, food supply, stress factors such as waring tribes, water, and health issues all contribute to this. And no, I do not believe that it all happened in 7 days but I believe the Word of God. For that reason God gave us a brain which could absorb knowledge and react to that knowledge accordingly.

As a Catholic Christian, I see the sotory of Adam and Eve for what it is ... a story. I believe that God created the world, and everything in it. But, I also believe in evolution. This is a question probably better suited for the non-denominational Evangelical Christian or Pentacostal who takes every word of the Bible literally, and believes that the world is under 7000 years old.

When man tried to build the Tower of Babel God confused their languages and they moved to different parts of the world and lived and became diffident races by the grace of God.

There were created more than just two as opposed to common beleif. Look at this verse closely:

Gen 1: 27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Remember this is before Eve was created from Adam's rib.

So God created him (man), male and female created he(God) them (more than one at least).

Many believe that at first there was only Adam as one person. Not so as the above verse shows. The first chapter in the bible doesn't even mention the name of Adam.

As time went on, and more people began to populate the earth, everyone intermarried and family members married family members. That's the way that God allowed the earth to begin. After time, people began to change in appearance because of this, and over the past 2,000 years, that's how it's all branched out into our many races today.

The Judeo-Christian-Islamic metaphor can be found in the story of the tower of Babel.

It all starts over with Noah's ark so we are all related to them too. That opens up all sorts of new questions that make absolutely no sense so it's time to throw the entire thing out
