What are the muscles underneath your bellybutton, above your pubic region, between your hipbones called, and how do you tone them?

I'm a 39-year-old woman who's always had a stomach "pooch". I have never had kids, but from childhood have always had a "pooch" that has never gotten any smaller and has begun, alas, to grow. I am swimming for overall toning but would love to know how to tone up this area specifically along with overall exercise like swimming and walking. Thank you!

You can do this workout. Laydown as you would do as a normal situp. Touch your left elbow with your right knee and the opposite. You also need to do a lot of reps and different workouts. Buy a medicine ball.

V ups, Abdomical Suck Ins. * Hold your stomach in and flex as hard as you can* Crunches, Side crunches/ for obliques, weighted sit ups for hip flexors, and all jogging can decrease it.

I recommend the Abs Diet.
