Yes keep it clean - the good thing about flirting via txt msg is you can say anything you want - but remember there are limits and if you don't get a reply straight away it could be cause the other person is playing hard to get - so don't worry or txt again saying have i done something wrong! you just need to play it really cool!

There aren't any rules.
Just make sure that they aren't too in-your-face raunchy, do not resemble text version of phone sex, or too vague to the point the other party is not sure if it's a booty text message or you're plain overly-friendly. And make sure nobody stumbles upon those messages and reads them and thinks you're a pervert.
