In the morning, my hair looks all wavy and sometimes curly. When I brush it, my hair becomes straighter and I lose all of the curl. What should I do/put in to my hair to keep the waves and curls?

Side note: My hair is thick and my scalp can be either dandruffy or oily depending on the time of year.

Go to a good salon and have your hair layered. also ask them for a good light gel. then brush your hair before washing when it is drying scrunch your hair in your hands by squeezing it and pushing it up towards your scalp. I have the same kind of hair and have done this for 30 years and it still works. A good stylist will show you how to do this

Don't brush your hair out. Put a little bit of curl serum into it and use like a wide tooth comb to get the knots out a little bit. If your hair is oily at the time then dont put the serum at the top of your hair and more at the bottom of the hair.

Use a humectant, and only finger style it. Only put creams in at the end of the hair.
