Generally, blow-drying makes hair straight. However, if you have really thick and poofy hair (like me), blow-drying will make your hair straight but will create lots of frizz and make your head a poofball. I have thick wavy hair also, and I've just given up on blow-drying and just straighten it now. Straightening is much better for our hair type. Straighteners take away volume, unlike blow-dryers, which add it. Also, straightening tames frizz, whereas blow-drying creates it. Also, straightening makes hair much more shiny, smooth, and versatile. So, my best advice is to just keep straightening it and not worry about blow-drying. Good luck!

I have the same hair. When I let it air dry it is really poofy and wavy but I normally let it just air dry then straighten it to save my hair a little from more damage. If I'm in a hurry then I blow dry it and it seems to make it a little straighter and definately less poofy but I still have to straighten it. It pretty much what ever you prefer.

Blowdrying sometimes work. If you try it, you will have to use a ceramic blowdryer (the actually make them). it doesn't work on all hair, but it does work. It makes your hair straight, but a little puffy. If you don't like the puff, just straighten the first layer of your ahir and the puff will be gone. it's a lot easier than straightening it every day.

it depends on your type of hair. if you blowdry it w/o combing it at the same time it will just be one big poofball, and it's hard 2 comb at the same time...i suggest you keep straighetning :)

Depends how you do it. I find that if I blow dry it when brushing it, pointing the dryer downwards, it gets a bit straighter... but it's still frizzy. Straightening it works better.
