A homosexual orientation is neither a sin, nor a choice, nor a ticket to hell.
I'm a convert to Catholicism by the way.

Sin, BUT no more or less than any other sin
Part of believing is knowing that we all sin, and without Jesus we all would have a one way ticket on the Hell train
How could I hate a gay person, and love myself, when we have both sinned?

The rejection of Jesus Christ is what sends people to hell. Homosexuality along with a plethora of other sexual sins are usually the direct symptom of this.

Why do you assume that each and one and all Christians think of that homosexuality is misguided? i don't think of it is incorrect, i'm a Christian, and that i will not be able to stand it whilst different christians think of it is incorrect, rather whilst they discriminate publically against them. i'm quickly. whether it is in basic terms because of the fact i'm, not because of the fact i think of it is the splendid "thank you to be because of the fact 'God stated so'". human beings can not help it in the event that they're gay. same in the event that they're quickly. maximum Christians refuse to have confidence that actuality that every person is born gay or quickly. they could have the skill to get married and love, and gays have my finished help. bear in suggestions i'm a Christian, and that i comprehend what you're saying. Edit: Gays did not start up AIDS. it is so stupid to assert that. If it replace into actual, then how ought to 2 gay those that don't have AIDS or HIV have intercourse and not without delay get the STD? human beings in basic terms prefer to have some sort of stupid excuse to hate on somebody else, actual or not actual. thus it is not actual.

I will not mince words (Hi Acid)
It is a sin of choice;
a ticket straight to hell? How the hell do I know? You're gonna have to ask God that -
He decides that via His office - He gets ticked off when people try to do His job for Him, ya know?
But I can tell you two things:
First, nobody is gonna get thrown into hell when they die for being gay - there is a 1000 yr period of teaching before that ever happens - and, Scripture doesn't say that its eternal torture; just a "blotting out". But thats up to God.
Second, I am a woman and I like men. I like men who are masucline and not wimpy. Strong, able, and in control. Sexually, to see a man being done by another man just doesn't cut it for me - it makes a woman out of the guy, and nothing is more of a turn-off than that.
Hey, you wanted it blunt, right?

It's a fruit of sin as is unbelief. Sin according to scripture is living my own life my way independent of God. Anything that is a result of that choice is a result of "sin." Whether or not someone is a homosexual is just a surface issue. There will be many heterosexuals in hell as well. Conversely, there will be many former homosexuals in heaven.

No, in the source section of this answer I am linking to an article in which a Christian uses scripture to prove it's not a sin.

LOL Being homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual is not a "choice", a "sin", or a "weakness". Neither is broccoli, needlepoint, or oxygen. LOL
