Mind control could be solved by not paying attention to the person hypnotizing you.

Some folks make excellent subjects. These are the people who are open-minded about the subject and have no negative preconceived ideas about what hypnosis is and what it won't attempt to achieve.
In other words, trusting people would make better subjects.

If a subject is hypnotized, that person has the capacity to search his own subconscious for data requested by the therapist.
Just to put your mind at ease, you'll never actually DO anything that your own morals and conscience would prevent you from doing.

This can be a very effective tool used for pain relief and so many other reclaiming of data needs.

Suggestion is powerful and you can also teach yourself how to do it (called autosuggestion), but you'd do well to learn all about it beforehand. There are certain suggestions that you'd want to include since they are the ones which would allow you to come out of that hypnotised state quickly and safely.
If the induction is done properly, there are no negative after-affects and quite possibly the positives are life-changing for you--naturally all this depends on your reasons for being hypnotised in the first place, you see.

A good hypnotherapist might ask you to have several sessions if you're trying to access deeply rooted information.

There are also post-hypnotic suggestions a therapist might give you to remember what detail had been revealed during a session. Something like -- You have no desire for a cigarette or sweets have lost their appeal to you. You may or may not instantly recall data revealed during a session.

You are not asleep during the session--this is a common misconception; you are simply super-relaxed. Should a fire alarm or something equally important occur while you're under hypnosis, you will immediately respond just as you would were you not hypnotised.

I hope this helps.

There is no such thing as Mind Control as the dismally failed experiments of the CIA's MKUltra proved in the 1960's and early 1970's. What is very real is brainwashing which is defined as forced cognitive restructuring in which a person's ability to think on their own has been compromised by an overpowering stimulus-usually in the form of some physical deprivation such as food or sleep. This was key in understanding the Stockholm Syndrome defense that Patty Hearst unsuccessfully tried to blow past a jury in the 1970's. Hypnosis? No such animal.

I believe that people can be Hypnotized, if they are willing as hypnosis works on the Subconscious Mind.
Apparently "Mass" Hypnosis is valid as well as all you have to do is ask a liberal any question about politics and you will get the same two answers "Bush Lied" "This is an Illegal War"

Maybe this should be classified as Brainwashing and not mass hypnosis?

Maybe you can visit sites like moveon.org, or the ACLU , Planned Parenthood, and see hypnosis in action?

Under hypnosis you won't do anything you won't do normally.
Your brain stands guard but to those who go nake in public or do the stupid tricks want to do those tricks.
In short hypnosis is a parlor trick in that case.
