The answer to this lies within your own heart. As you think of them, are your memories not alive with that moment in time? That someone will live in you and through you for as long as you will it to be so. As their spirit has moved on, so perhaps their love for you goes on as well. Love has a way of transending all that would inhibit its growth, and lasts past this life and into the next.

Someone once said that "Death is a state in which a part of us lives on in the memories of others. No more saddness. Just good
feelings" I've lost several close ones. In time it won't hurt so.

I suppose they do live in your heart so to speak.
You have make memories with people, especially people you love. And you will always have those memories - that's something that death can't take away.

I was married for thirty five years and my husband past away in 2004. yes he still lives on in my heart. yes they are gone but the memories are still there
