Well, some people are shy, some people aren't, and some people are shy one minute, bold the next. I would ask her who she likes casually, and if she says no one, she is shy...if she tells you she is not. I would make the first move.

Make a simple move like talk to her first, simple things like that teacher is an idiot or I hate that sunbject etc. If she returns the small talk you're on your way and you will find it's not that hard. From there move on to more general talk sport, music, movies. Then ask her out either when you go in a group or by yourself. When comes to trust don't tell people all or any of your secrets or past experiences that embarrass you. Don't tell them anything you wouldn't know the whole world to know until you trust them.
Give it a go you will be more confident and if it goes bad well you learnt something and keep trying.

No, not all women are shy. Did you say she was beating up some guy? Are you sure you want to go with this girl?? Maybe you like weirdo"s. If you don't want another guy to steal the girl that you have an eye on, then you better make the first move. Snooze, you loose.

Girls don't really like making a move. At least, most that I know don't. So: if you like her back, try asking her if she wants to go see a movie, then see how it goes...If all goes well, try asking her again some other time, and soon enough, maybe even to be your girlfriend.

ALL women? Dude, you lost us at that point. If you like this girl, just man up and talk to her. No one will "steal" her from you...they just go with the guys who're cool enough to approach them.

there is only one little thing you need to do. Ask her out already!
You already know you wont be rejected.. so why the fear on your side of the equation? theres no good reason for it. Be happy your in!
