Of course it's possible, but other factors have to come into play. For instance, your expacted family contribution is divided by the number of dependent family members enrolled in college. So if you have 4 kids in college at the same time and all 4 are at private school, it's possible you'll qualify for significant aid, depending on the schools.

However if it's an only child situation, you're probably out of luck.

The only way to know for sure is to complete one.

sure, but why would you want your child to get any federal assistance? if i made that much, my child would go to any school she wanted with you financial worries.

no. the child could get loans with you cosigning, or merit-based aid.
