I have been told it's a variety of things, cardio, eating right, cut out sodas (beer if you drink it) fried foods, no slouching it doesn't help your back or any other muscles/areas. Also if you have extra inches around your waistline/ ab area, doing only cruches and situps can make muscles larger and not remove fat. Therefore you will still have a bulge and have very un healthy fat there. I know I have the same problem, I have alot of muscle under the fat (result of baby and not exercising since his birth) and have only buily up the muscles and the fat hasn't gone anywhere. :-( Good luck

It is wrongly believed that can you can lose weight only in certain parts of the body. Some areas bulge or appear more fat due to the lack of muscles. Common abdominal exercises like sit-ups, crunches and leg raises do not burn many calories. Doing these exercises helps in the toning and firming of stomach muscles. If the stomach muscles are stronger, the waist may appear slightly smaller. More info at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachf...

Eat 4 or 5 "SMALL" meals a day, watch fat intake, and excercise. You have to burn more calories than what you take in. Don't be fooled by the fast weight loss diets. The average healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 lbs per week. I have been doing this for the past 2 mths and have lost 16lbs.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

When we lose weight, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. For more information on toning up, visit http://straighthealth.com
