I prefer length wise, like a typewriter, then I go around at the tips at the end.

Lengthwise, like an old manual typewriter. Then around the ends to finish it off.

I stab a fork into the end of the cob to hold it, then I use a knife to remove the kernels from the cob. It bugs the hell out of me when people eat corn off the cob, get kernels stuck between their teeth and then suck on their teeth for hours trying to get the piece of corn out from between their teeth. I once went postal (ok semi-postal) on someone. I went inside my house, got a new toothbrush and threw it at them all the while yelling at them to stop sucking their F##king teeth and go brush them. Needless to say it ended the backyard BB-Q.
