hey dears

first of all im a muslim girl and i believe that the purpose
in our life is that god only created us to worship him
and he's dispensable from us without his to us
we wont be here
second:i honestly felt like an animal when i read your answer in my question "the purpose in your life"

i mean god gave the human a head to think
and to worship him..
not just to live our life like that just for our needs!
so why wont you open your eyes
and know the truth ?

and one more question
how can you prove that the life and people had not been created by god?

Salam

I ask this same question about meaning or purpose in life once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.

It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.

It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."

It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.

This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.

Love and blessings

As an atheist I don't have "a purpose" in life. I simply am here. I exist. Since I exist, I am obligated to treat others the same way I would like to be treated. I am a good and descent person and expect others to act the same. However, I know that is wishful thinking. I enjoy life. I do not need to have a mythical figure to enjoy life.

If you need to believe in a god and worship Him to make your life worthwhile then that is good for you.
It's not for me.

I find it amusing that you expect me to open my eyes and know the truth when there is not one shred of evidence in the existence of a god. But if that's what you believe, then that's fine.

Your last question about proving that life and people had not been created by god is silly. I do not have to prove a negative. YOU have to prove that a god does exist. If I say that bigfoot is roaming the Pacific Northwest, it is not up to you to prove that he isn't. I have to prove that he is.

Peace back to you.

I don't understand you at all. I read your previous question and cannot fathom what you mean by "I honestly felt like an animal when I read your answer In (sic) my question..." I thought you received well-thought-out answers from serious people. Are you suggesting that unless you live your life to worship god, there is no other purpose to living?

Believe what you want; worship who you want to; and leave the rest of us alone! Besides, since you are a Muslim and I am a Jew, nothing you say will ever convince me of anything! And you call people who don't believe as you do "blind and deaf" and then sign off by saying "peace." What a hypocrite!

You should re-think what you said. You are saying God created us so we can worship him, is that not greed, selfishness on 'Gods' part? I thought God shouldn't promote greed, selfishness, discrimination of any sort. Think about it. I cannot prove that the life and people had not been created by God, the same way you can't prove God created people. 1000s words in a book is just not enough to convince me. I am sorry.

First I will say there is no credible proof that there is a god, but if there were, why would it want the inhabitants of this planet off on the side of the universe to worship him? It is humans that need something to worship so that we can feel special.

Well, I'm not an atheist, but I don't subscribe to any gods. Think about it for a minute. When we take a pet into our care, we (if responsible) provide a house, entertainment, excercise, a place to rest, and a place to take care of bodily functions. If we where created by God, why is it that we are left to the elements, to fend for ourselves. If almost any one of use was thrown into the wilderness right now with no supplies, most of us would parish. How has he provided a house to take care of our needs?
So my argument is that every house as a maker. So, where there is no house, there is no maker.

Did you READ the answers we posted? Who answered that they live for their needs only?

And the last question, how can you prove it "was not" created by god? Well, it's hard to prove a negative. Can you prove that Greg Brady (eldest brother in The Brady Bunch) didn't create us all? No, you can't. But that doesn't mean that, therefore, he must have done it.

Even tho Greg rawks!

Sorry, their is no set purpose. We make our own, assuming free will. Oh, and you can't prove he doesn't exist but you can prove many established religions wrong. i.e. Bible says he created all life and only had 2 humans, but science has proven a different explanation for the origins of life.

You probably felt like an animal when you read the answers to your first question because you realized that you insulted many people who do not believe as you do.

This is normal, and a result of the silver rule: Do not do to others what you do not want done to you (Confucius, 500BC). You insulted others, and in turn were insulted back. I don't blame you for feeling like an animal in that situation.

How can you prove that people were created by a 'god'? I believe science more than a history book.
