this lucky bastard (his own dad hates him) really think he has a shot at beating de la hoya? the promotional tour de la hoya has stated that mayweather disgust him and that he is mentioning his name with mayoroga,trinidad and vargas.three opponents he already destroyed.if mayweather doesnt run like a chicken, will he be thumped like other fighters oscar disliked?

Mayweather is not overconfident. I hardly think that he is confident at all. De la Hoya is no joke. I think Floyd is just showing the crowd that he is a tough guy. He wants people to feel confident for him. In no way should Mayweather be confident. De la Hoya has a distinct size advantage. He is just acting like he is because he wants to sell PPV's. He is adamant about that. He has said in all of his fights that he only acts thuggish because he wants to sell tickets.
I think Floyd should train harder rather than talk and talk so that he can have a chance to back himself up in the ring. I highly doubt that Floyd can back his words up in the ring.

mayweather should be able to beat de la hoya because he is faster and younger and will be able to wear down oscar...and if you define what floyd as being overconfident, you can say he is overconfident for every single fight he has ever fought
