Have done all community service hours, attended required awareness class but I just need an extension to pay off my restitution. I have requested an extension so considering the facts I listed how good a chance is there that I will be granted an extension??

Your chances sound pretty good. Other things that will play into this are your relationship with your PO and your attitude about what got you in this mess in the first place. Judges pay more attention to your attitude than your actions in many cases.

Actually, you don't need to extend your probation at all. If you have completed the Court Ordered or sanctioned requirements, all you need do now is ask for an extension of time to pay the remainder of your restitution. This would preclude you from having to report and/or pay additional probation fees and all the Judge does is reset your appearance date to give you a chance to show compliance. In a Court of Law, the Judge has the last say and all you need do is to ask that the Judge discharge you from probation and set a new Court date. You could argue that the reduced drain of probation fees on your expenditures could go towards the restitution. The Judge has a duty not to place an undue hardship upon a defendant that shows a willingness to comply but due to financial hardships, Just Cannot. I do hope this helps and GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!

Courts don't generally want to put people in jail simply because they cannot pay. Since you have done everything else, your request for an extension should be granted. Be prepared to explain a clear cut plan to pay off the restitution in a reasonable time frame and outline your expenses and income to justify not paying the restitution in the time frame previously allotted. If you can do that, you should be fine.
