I live in an apartment also, I can hear the people above me even if they vacuum their floor,it is sensitive,you could get one and see if you get any complaints.

Look into getting the GAZZELLE.
With that you make no contact with the ground...
less stress on your knees n etc also..
Cheaper also than a good treadmill.
Treadmill can give more ressistance though, but if you are going to be self-concious about your neighors, a non-expensive cheap, easily stored gazzelle is probbably a good way to go.

i had a gazelle which is way quieter than a treadmill, and my neighbors hated it ...i dont live in apartments anymore but i wouldnt be bothered....unless u decided to run at ridiculous hours of the night...

It probably won't bother them if you buy the treadmill.
However, if you plan to use the treadmill, you can pretty much bet it will affect them.

It probably won't bother them for long, because they will feel better after they have thrown you and the treadmill out the wwindow.

if you run it will, but if you do fast walking it probably wont bother them. you might ask them if its okay first.
