Catchphrase is "inexpensive" - crankbaits and plugs can be
expensive. I'd stick with simple bucktail jigs for perch, panfish, walleye and smallmouth. Mister twister type lures are inexpensive and very good for catching smalllmouths and musky will hit them.Invest in a few spoons (preferably a red and white Daredevil) for pike, they are not too expensive.

You can purchase these items in any mega-mart or local tackle shop

i would use some spinners, they would probably catch large panfish and spinners in larger sizes (called bucktails) will catchur pike and muskie. buy some crankbaits for walleye.

never buy cheap lures because they r usually never good fish catchers. A couple expensive lures that will catch fish would be better than a lot of cheap lures that wont catch fish

companies to look for: Rooster Tail spinners, Rapala lures, Bomber lures, Yo-Zuri,

buy at *****, Cabelas, Bass pro shops, or even at Wal-Mart!!

I'm pretty sure I use what's called a red devil. It a metal lure, one side (the indented side) is silver/ mirror like. The other side is white and red. They offer plenty of sizes. These are PERFECT for pike. I've used plenty of alternatives but nothing works nearly as well on those beautiful fish. The best size is the about 2-inch lure with the triple-hook.
The other fish I am not sure about, but others that I have caught with the Red Devil are Bass and even Catfish.

everybody says that it relies upon on what your after, to three factor, I could agree. I fish lots for catfish, and bait is often extra ideal for them. while i exploit minnows, i'm many times going for crappie, and am rather effectual. even nonetheless, I definitely have continually had extra ideal luck with bass using lures. I definitely have observed that the bigger fish are just about consistently caught on bait. I caught a 30 lb drum interior the Coosa River in Ragland, Al using a minnow, and that i've got been given a sixty 5 lb catfish interior a similar section using shad. even nonetheless, the excellent bass became 9 lb and it became caught (generally with the aid of twist of destiny) on a a million feet follow approximately 3 feet of line, a hook i got here upon on the financial enterprise, and an previous rubber computer virus, strolling a path between 2 lakes. So, to reply to your question, with the main sincerity then i visit assert bait.

If you live in the grand Rapids area, you should check out Al & Bobs. I would get some Yum Dingers, spinnerbaits, Rapalas, buzz baits, a frog or 2, yamasenkos, and a bigysmal (which is a great lure but good luck trying to find one) these are for bass.

Crankbaits catch everything. Use the larger ones for pike & muskie. Where to buy? Have a Gander Mountain nearby? If not, go to Rillie & Helen's Muskie Shop.

The PANTHER-MARTIN range of spinners are quiet good....... had a friend send a couple of them over to me in the UK from Illinois a couple of years ago....... best lure I've tried in years... so good I shook off a bit of a lure fishing jinx on my local River with it (hadn't caught on a lure since '95... merely had fish chasing, and on the few times I did hook one, it came off after a few seconds). Unfortunately I had to cut the damn thing up to free a deep hooked unsized trout =(
The lures are available direct from the Manufacturer @ http://panthermartin.com
They've currently got a half-price offer on.

If there is a Bass pro shop nearby, go there they will have advice on what lures to use and tackle and such. also if there is a local tackle shop where u intend to fish go there they may have better advice, but stuff is more expensive (its good to support local businesses)
